Selling a dream about moving into a new state of the art building in a few months (lie) - did not show accomodation or living area until landed in kuwait and youre stuck with it, absolutely horrible area to live in (migrant indian workers) so youre stuck indoors and cant even go for a walk, if youre not caucasian white youre discriminated against, no payscale so youre left negotiating and arguing why others with less experience are paid 30% more - payscale and 1 or 2 year contracts are offered based on free will of HR. A place going through HUGE changes (Curriculum + SLT + Management) and trying to cut as much cost as possible to please new Corporate company that have acquired it. Sad to witness how a 40 year old well respected well regarded school is tanking by the day under new changes - cutting costs and empowering entitled top 1% of kuwait students has given students all the power to challenge and cause issues knowing new SLT dont have their teachers back - if you are truly considering this place keep your head down and be a yes man or else your contract is terminated (2022 - 70+ staff terminated in a single day, 2024 - 15 staff ) SLT aiming for young freshly graduated teachers for low costs and to cover their backs (blind leading the blind) no room for suggestions. Kuwait is a hardship location so no activities only 40 degrees heat, malls and your 30m squared apartment (forget about getting driving license). save your health !
